Texas Round-Up challenges you to get fit!

What is the GetFitTexas! program?
GetFitTexas! is a free program that encourages you to exercise regularly and allows you to keep a record of all your physical activity. The program is broken out into six week cycles, and every time you complete six weeks of activity at or above the recommended levels, you will get a certificate of completion.

Adults are challenged to exercise 2 and a half hours, or 150 minutes per week. Children are challenged to get 5 hours, or 300 minutes of physical activity per week.

These activity goals are based on the Physical Activity Guidelines endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine, The American Heart Association, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Each January, GetFitTexas! also hosts the annual Governor’s Challenge, in which cities, businesses, and teams compete for the title of “Fittest in Texas!”
